Goan Baath Cake


INGREDIENTS

1 cup desiccated grated coconut
1/2 cup semolina (rava)
2 tbsp flax seed (alsi/teesi)
2 cup Milk
3 green Cardmom
1.5 tsp Baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp butter Or Ghee
¾ Sugar

DIRECTIONS
  • Roast Flex seeds for 2-3 minutes and make fine powder.Soak it in 1cup of hot milk.Leave it for 5-6 minutes.
  • Sift semolina,baking powder,salt and mix it with coconut.
  • Blend flex seed mixture with hand blender (or in blender) for 2 minutes than add sugar,Ghee and cardamom than blend it again.Now mix it with Semolina-coconut mixture.Finally add another cup of hot milk. Keep it for 1hr.
  • Pour the mixture in greased pan and bake on 180’C for 40minutes(or till its done).


# Original recipe contains 2tbsp of milk powder.
